Calling all chefs: ‘Chopped’ is auditioning

What would you cook with the following ingredients: flounder, broccoli, Swiss cheese and cotton candy?

If you’re a chef worthy of winning “Chopped,” the answer is a culinary masterpiece.

The hit Food Network television show, in which four cooks compete to create the best appetizer, main course and dessert from a basket of discordant mystery ingredients, is coming to Las Vegas this fall for casting. Agents are looking for outgoing chefs with a point of view who aren’t scared of mixing chicken with strawberry jam or black beans with peanut butter.

Auditions are open to anyone in the culinary world, including restaurant, personal or corporate chefs, caterers, instructors, food stylists or recipe developers. Winners take home $10,000.
