Ann Road construction work switching to daytime hours

Ann Road

Roadwork on Ann Road in northwest Las Vegas will shift to daytime hours today.

Ann Road has been reduced to one lane in each direction between Durango Drive and Centennial Center Boulevard, near U.S. 95, city officials said.

Work on the road began in August, but the lane closures were only in effect at night until now.

Preventative maintenance is being done to extend the life of the busy road, officials said. The project should be done by the end of the month.

Motorists can use Tropical Parkway and Craig Road as alternate routes for east-west travel.

Las Vegas Paving is the contractor for the project, which is being funded by the city and the Regional Transportation Commission.
