In a letter Thursday, Earle Malkin charges that the GOP fears President Barack Obama’s policies will work. He may be partly right. Socialism has a track record of short-term success but long-term failure. Perhaps Margaret Thatcher of England said it best: “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”
Even if Obama’s policies would work short term, is that what would be best for America long term?
