Metro Police have arrested a 55-year-old New York woman who is accused of performing a surgical procedure without a medical license at a southwest valley home.

A neighbor’s tip prompted police to investigate suspicious activities at a residence in the 7700 block of Somerhill Point Way, near Warm Springs Road and Jones Boulevard, police said.

Officers responded at 4:51 p.m. Monday to the residence and found a person undergoing a facial cosmetic surgery procedure, police said. Medical personnel transported the patient to an area hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening.
