A woman was critically injured after an accident Saturday morning, according to Metro Police.
Sara Jelinek-Stewart, 27, of Las Vegas, was driving her 2003 Ford Taurus south on Pecos Road near Sunrise Avenue about 2:16 a.m. Witnesses and evidence indicates she lost control, driving off the road and striking a light pole, said police.
She was transported to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with critical injuries.
Police say the accident remains under investigation.
