A 20-year-old woman has died and a 25-year-old woman is in critical condition after their Dodge Caliber collided with an NV Energy truck in North Las Vegas this afternoon, police said.
The wreck happened shortly before 1 p.m. at Centennial Parkway and Losee Road, North Las Vegas police said. The intersection was shut down, police said.
Three women were in the Dodge, and two were transported in critical condition to University Medical Center, where one later died, police said.
The man driving the truck was uninjured, police said.
Police said witnesses reported that the truck failed to stop at a stoplight. But no citations have been issued, pending the ongoing investigation, police said.
