Dragone’s ‘Le Reve’ remains a splashy delight

You might remember, or not, that Wynn Las Vegas was originally to be named Le Rêve. Steve Wynn was toying with the idea of naming the hotel after the Picasso painting of the same name that he and his then-wife, Elaine, owned and loved and put on display. Then Donald Trump helped convince Wynn to name the hotel something more directly identifiable with Wynn—such as, “Wynn”—and the hotel’s production show became titled Le Rêve.

The Details

Le Rêve
Fridays through Tuesdays, 7 & 9:30 p.m.
$99-$195
Le Rêve Theater, (888) 320-7110

The production is sometimes overshadowed by Garth Brooks down the hall, or the similarly styled Cirque du Soleil production O. Some still mistakenly consider Le Rêve a Cirque show because a onetime Cirque visionary, Franco Dragone, is its producer.

What this all means, or not, is that Le Rêve remains a splashy delight, comparable to any Cirque show, especially as the holidays approach and family-friendly options are at a premium.
