Police investigating death of Bishop Gorman student

Henderson Police are investigating the death of a Bishop Gorman High School student who died Sunday after being found unconscious in a home.

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the teen as 17-year-old Brady Caipa of Las Vegas. The cause and manner of death have not been determined, pending the completion of lab work, which could take as long as two months, officials said.

Police spokesman Keith Paul said officers responded about 8 a.m. Sunday to 83 Kittansett Loop after receiving a call about an unconscious teen not breathing. The home is in the Anthem Country Club neighborhood.

Caipa was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospitals’ Siena Campus, where he was pronounced dead, Paul said.

Police do not suspect foul play, Paul said.
