It’s not the fanciest poker room on the Strip. It’s not the busiest or the biggest. And it’s definitely not the newest. (Those distinctions go to Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian and Aria, respectively.) But the Mirage poker room is my favorite, and here’s why: 1. They always have a Low-Limit Hold’em game going. 2. They let me read books at the table. 3. They’ve got the friendliest dealers and floor supervisors. Yes, business has been slow lately, but the room isn’t dead. Actually, it’s constantly improving. So if you haven’t played poker at the Mirage in a while, give the room another chance. But if you sit at my table, go easy on me. 791-7111.
