More than a dozen Foothill High School students met with U.S. Sen. Harry Reid in Washington, D.C., this week as part of a national program that brings students to the capitol to learn about U.S. government operations.
The Henderson students were visiting with Reid through the Close Up Foundation, a nonprofit educational organization that offers a weeklong learning program and tour of Washington, D.C.
“It was a pleasure to meet with these impressive students,” Reid said. “These aspiring teachers, nurses, engineers and entrepreneurs are the future of Nevada. I will continue fighting to ensure Nevada schools like Foothill High School have the resources and tools necessary to help make their dreams a reality.”
