Teens invited to apply for Henderson junior leadership program

Teenagers looking to learn job and life skills are invited to apply to Henderson’s Teens-N-Training junior leadership program.

The program, organized by the Parks and Recreation department, trains teenagers ages 14 and 15 to become future recreation leaders and provide assistance to the department’s summer programs.

Teens chosen to take part will attend a training workshop that explores communication skills, leadership, conflict resolution and program policies. There is also a parents’ workshop that outlines the program policies and expectations.

Participation in the program costs $110. Applications are available online and at all of the city’s recreation centers, and are being accepted between April 4 and 25.

For more information about the TNT program, call (702) 267-4100 or visit www.cityofhenderson.com.
