A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the Monday evening shooting deaths of a man and woman at a downtown Las Vegas apartment.

Metro Police said Marco Guzman was jailed Tuesday on charges of two counts of murder with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary with a deadly weapon and grand larceny. He was being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center.

Officers responded at 7:22 p.m. Monday to the Sunflower Apartments, 1500 E. Fremont St., where they found the victims dead inside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was identified Wednesday by the Clark County Coroner's Office as Anthony Lee Dickerson, 27. The woman's name hasn't been released.

Police said both victims were shot in the head after a dispute over money.

Detectives on Wednesday also identified Charles Deverna, 33, as a suspect and said he was wanted on the same charges. Officers still were looking for Deverna.

Metro homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said Monday that neighbors reporting seeing two men fleeing the scene in Dickerson’s black pickup truck after the shooting.
