Metro Police are investigating the death of an elderly woman found in her central valley home Friday afternoon as a possible homicide.
Officers responded to the home near Valley View and Oakey boulevards about 3:30 p.m. after a neighbor reported not seeing the woman for a day, Metro Lt. Dan McGrath said.
The garage door was open and upon entering, the officers found a woman in her mid- to late 60s dead, police said.
Although a cause of death hasn’t been determined, there were signs of a homicide at the scene, McGrath said.
The homicide division was still at the scene as of 6:30 p.m., McGrath said.
