Police announce record-setting meth bust

Police made the largest methamphetamine bust on record in Nevada after serving search warrants in the Las Vegas Valley on Tuesday, authorities said.

The record seizure of drugs was made by the Southern Nevada High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force. A news release by Metro Police did not say how much methamphetamine was recovered.

The task force is made up of officers from across the region, including Metro, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City police, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Police said they will release more details about the case on Thursday.
