NV Energy is hosting an open house Feb. 8 at the Enterprise Library so company officials can discuss the relocation of a transmission line along Warm Springs Road and answer questions from community members.
During the informational meeting, scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the company will explain the project's purpose and be available answer questions from community members.
The relocation of the line comes at the request of the Nevada Department of Transportation, which is planning to construct a new bridge to take Warm Springs over Interstate 15, NV Energy said in a news release. The current line runs along the north side of Warm Springs from Dean Martin Drive to Las Vegas Boulevard.
The relocated line would start at a new transmission pole at the northeast corner of Warm Springs Road and Dean Martin Drive, then immediately cross Warm Springs and run along the road's south side, where it would cross I-15 and end on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard.
The meeting will take an "open house" format, the company said, and those interested are invited to come any time from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 702-402-2620.
