The Vans Warped Tour, an annual rite of passage for young music fans across the country, hasn’t set foot in Las Vegas since the summer of 2004. It appears that’s about to change.
The official Warped website lists a June 30 Vegas date—venue “TBA”—among its 43-show 2011 schedule. Bands onboard for the tour thus far: Big D and the Kids Table, Dance Gavin Dance, The Dangerous Summer, Enter Shikari, Every Avenue, Family Force Five, Go Radio, Grieves With Budo, Lucero, Miss May I, Of Mice and Men, We Came as Romans, Winds of Plague, Woe Is Me, The Wonder Years and The Word Alive. Five more acts are scheduled to be announced Wednesday on the Warped site.
A ticket pre-sales is slated to begin on April 1. Prices have yet to be announced.
In its last visit to town, Warped took place at Desert Breeze Skate Park on West Spring Mountain. That year, NOFX, Bad Religion, Atmosphere and an up-and-coming My Chemical Romance were among some 60 acts spread across seven stages.
