Motorists might see traffic delays on Rampart Boulevard between Lake Mead Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue over the next five weeks, city officials said.
Crews will be blocking off short sections of northbound and southbound lanes of Rampart as part of a median beautification project.
Work will be occurring during daytime hours Monday through Thursday, officials said.
The project to install landscaping to medians in nearly 1.5 miles of the road includes boulders and about 20 metal sculptures of cacti and other plants by local welder Michael Dunn.
The $100,000 project is being funded by a 1 percent room tax and is being performed by city staff.
