An old-fashioned Christmas delight is the theme of this year’s WinterFest in Henderson.
The city of Henderson’s annual holiday festival takes place Friday and Saturday at the Henderson Convention Center and Events Plaza with dozens of family-friendly events.
The celebration starts at 6 p.m. Friday at the Events Plaza with the official tree lighting followed by a performance by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra at 7 p.m. at the Convention Center.
Guests can attend a craft fair, check out a gingerbread house contest and visit with Santa from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Events Plaza.
The festival will end with an evening light parade Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Water Street District.
Admission to all WinterFest activities is free and open to the public. For more information and a schedule of events visit the city’s website.
