Metro Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who they say kidnapped and robbed an elderly woman earlier this month by forcing his way into her vehicle.

Police said the incident happened at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 20, but officials have not disclosed the location. The man entered the victim’s car and forced her to drive to an ATM, instructing her to make two cash withdrawals, police said.

After he took the money, he ordered the woman to take him back to where he entered her vehicle, police said.

Authorities described the man as white, 30 to 40 years old and about 5-feet-5-inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee, police said.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Metro’s robbery section at (702) 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
