A 21-year-old Las Vegas man who died Tuesday night when his motorcycle ran into an SUV has been identified as Michael Bianchi, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Police said the crash happened about 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Craig and Cimarron roads. A preliminary investigation indicates the 2004 Suzuki motorcycle was westbound on Craig when a 2006 Toyota Sequoia traveling north on Cimarron pulled in front of the motorcycle as it entered the intersection.

The motorcycle ran into the right side of the Toyota, police said.

Bianchi was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the SUV, 43-year-old Monica Ponce of Las Vegas, suffered minor injuries.

The accident investigation is ongoing. It marked the 45th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
