It’s hard to believe that August is coming to a close. Summer will bow out September 23, which gives you roughly a month to drink in the season. And drinking it in is exactly the thing to do at Aria’s Union, where the bartenders mix up a little something called the Berrylicious that’s served with a skewer of fresh fruit and tastes almost exactly like it sounds. Mix up one yourself, or head into Union for a fresh taste that’s perfectly of the moment.
Union's Berrylicious
Ingredients:
2 oz. fresh strawberry puree
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
.5 oz. simple syrup
1 oz. fresh lemon sour
3 oz. Belvedere Black Raspberry
extra sugar (for rim)
fresh berries on a skewer (for garnish)
Method: Combine first five ingredients over ice in a shaker and mix thoroughly. Strain into a 10-ounce martini glass with a sugared rim and top with a skewer of fresh berries. For Union’s smokey effect, serve over dry ice.
