Fire officials suspect arson in a blaze that did $100,000 in damage to a vacant house Monday night in the northwest valley.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said firefighters responded at 11 p.m. Monday to the fire at 3612 Crescent Canyon St., near Gowan Road and Durango Drive.

Upon arrival, they found light smoke coming from the two-story, wood-frame and stucco house, Szymanski said. They located the fire in the second floor master bedroom.

The home was unsecured and didn't have utilities connected to it, but fire officials said it did not appear to have homeless people living in it.

No one was injured during the fire. It remains under investigation.
