It was like the perfect house party. The Fukuburger truck was parked behind Cornerstone Gallery, while local group Rhyme N Rhythm performed their brand of hip-hop rock, a bar served cold beers in plastic cups and locals in neon and jeans lounged around the yard, some sitting on overturned plastic buckets while they ate their burgers and fries. It was party, dinner and hangout all rolled into one. And now, it’s heading to LA.

Fukuburger owners Colin Fukunaga and Robert “Mags” Magsalin announced Friday that they’ve partnered with Harry Morton (yes, that Morton) to open a Fukuburger restaurant in Hollywood next month. Morton, owner of Pink Taco, The Viper Room and, for a while, Lindsay Lohan’s heart, envisions the LA restaurant channeling the vibe of the popular Asian-inspired burger truck with design by rock ‘n’ roll clothier Kelly Cole, Fuku’s red, black and grey color scheme and a continued emphasis on community through TVs showing a live feed of social media mentions. The menu, as well, will be classic Fuku, focused on the same six burgers currently featured on the truck. Fukuburger the restaurant will, however, have one thing the truck doesn’t have—booze. Beer, wine, sake and Fuku’s burgers? LA just got a whole lot cooler.

But don’t worry about getting your Fuku fix in Las Vegas; the truck will remain here and keep the love—and the amazing food—coming.
