It’s one of our favorite things about the Cosmopolitan: free concerts from up-and-coming international bands that take over Book & Stage for multi-night mini-residencies. In its first eight months, the venue has boasted names like Fitz and the Tantrums, Robert Randolph, Nikka Costa and Best Coast free of charge, but attendance can be unpredictable. Some groups play to a handful of guests checking their smart phones, some play to packed crowds that spill out into the casino throughways.
Now, Cosmo is continuing its music-for-all mentality with a six-week concert series at the Boulevard Pool’s Yard area. First up is Atlanta band The Constellations, a hip-hop/rock group playing 9 p.m. Friday and midnight Saturday that’s had songs featured on TV shows House, Royal Pains and Chuck. Other bands slated to play the Yard—the part of the pool near the East Tower entrance that’s also home ping-pong, foosball and pool tables—include Augustana, Joy Formidable and Smith Westerns. The outdoor series is currently scheduled to wrap up September 24 with a performance by Alberta Cross.
Shows will also continue inside at Book & Stage. First up, Robert Randolph returns for a three-night run September 2-4, with Otis Heat, Anjulie and Milwaukee 10-piece soul band Kings Go Forth.

The dining experience at The Cosmopolitan isn’t something you’ll find at other Strip resorts, either. All of The Cosmopolitan’s 13 restaurateurs are new to the Las Vegas market. You’ll find American steakhouse fare in a modern setting at STK, top-notch sushi at Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill and the freshest fish flown in from the Mediterranean daily at Estiatorio Milos.
Whether the sun is up or down, Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub is the place to find the party at The Cosmopolitan. The venue is a dayclub/nightclub, complete with a pool and cabanas outside and three different rooms with three different vibes inside.
If nightclubs aren’t your thing, you can grab a drink at one of The Cosmopolitan’s five other bars, like The Chandelier, which is encased in 2 million dripping crystals.
