A man who robbed a Charleston Boulevard bank Friday might also have robbed a neighboring bank days earlier, police said.

Metro Police said the man entered the bank in the 4100 block of East Charleston Boulevard at about 2 p.m. Friday and, in Spanish, told everyone to get on the ground.

The robber then approached a teller with a black semi-automatic pistol and demanded money, police said. The tellers gave the man money and he left the bank.

Investigators believe the man in this robbery might be the same person who robbed a bank a block away on Aug. 5.

Police said the robber is Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old and 5-feet-8-inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a light blue polo shirt and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Metro’s Robbery

Section at 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, Crime stoppers at 385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
