Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a grocery store bank last week.

Metro Police said a bank branch inside a grocery store in the 7000 block of Rainbow Boulevard, near the Las Vegas Beltway in the southwest valley, was robbed about 10:25 a.m. Aug. 10.

The man approached the teller window with a note demanding money, police said. The teller complied and the man took an unspecified amount of money before fleeing.

Police described the man as either Hispanic or Asian between the ages of 25 and 35 and about 5-feet-7-inches tall and 160 pounds.

The robber was wearing a black beret and a gray long-sleeved shirt and had burn scars on both hands, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to contact Metro’s Robbery Section at 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, Crime stoppers at 385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
