Metro Police today are asking for the public’s help in identifying three people responsible for robbing a store on the Strip last week.

Police said the robbery happened about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard. Police didn't identify the business that was robbed.

Two women began to walk out of the store with merchandise while a man tried to distract the clerk, police said. The man ended up hitting the clerk in the face, which caused the clerk to fall to the ground.

The man then went to the cash register, police said. He threw the register to the ground to get it open and get money.

The three suspects were last seen running east from the business through the parking lot, police said.

Police described the three suspects as Asian and said the man was about 35 years old, 5-feet-7-inches tall and has a heavy build. One of the woman was between 27 and 30 years old and about 5-feet-7-inches tall and 140 pounds. The other woman was 30 to 35 years old, 5-feet-5-inches tall and 160 pounds.

Anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to contact Metro’s Robbery Section at 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
