Attention out-of-work Las Vegans: Jimmy Buffett might have a job for you.
Buffett and the Flamingo are hiring at least 250 workers for a new Margaritaville Casino slated to open in October. Positions include table game dealers, supervisors and flair bartenders.
The minicasino, which replaces a steakhouse in the Flamingo, will be the first to boast Buffett’s brand and is expected to include a 15,000-square-foot casino floor, 22 gaming tables, 220 slot machines and a centerpiece “Five O’Clock Somewhere” bar. It will build on the existing Margaritaville bar and restaurant that anchors the hotel.
Job descriptions call for employees who can “ensure that every Parrothead leaves with a change in their attitude, if not their latitude.”
People interested can apply online here or in person at the Caesars Entertainment Employment Center on Flamingo Road. If applying online, make sure to search for both “The Flamingo” and “Margaritaville Casino.”

Yes, the mild-mannered man, who copyrighted the word "Margaritaville", is now opening shop. It is all about brand placement here and when you are asked to pay through the nose for that brand, I anticipate the new motto might just be "if you don't like our attitude, change your latitude!"
Your link to apply is broken... Not really a career but I guess it will help put food on someones plate.
We have always stayed at the Flamingo. We are also big Parrotheads. This is a big win win for us who enjoy the lifestyle. Glad he had the thought to market Margaritaville. Yes we spend alot on the merchandise. Cant wait for the Margaritaville casino to open in Biloxi Ms.
Did employees of the closed steakhouse lose their jobs or did they get transferred to other restaurants?
TheSerfAttack: Thanks for bringing that to our attention. Link has been fixed. FYI, once you hit the Caesars page, scroll down and click on "careers" to get to the jobs page.
I'm happy that jobs are going to be created but I feel sorry for the new employees too. Las Vegas, Nevada, the whole USA needs jobs. But how will the new employees ever get "It's five o'clock somewhere" out of their heads after hearing it over and over again, none stop, shift after shift?
The guy is a one-trick pony.
I thought that was Paul Simon.

With a lot of money!!
