More info

Have some extra loose-leaf paper or pencils? Donate school supplies to Clark County students in need.

The “Help Us Do Some Good” food truck roundup to raise donations for needy students in the Clark County School District will be held this Friday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 4555 S. Fort Apache Road.

Hosted by Powder & Sun Board Shop, the benefit will include a pizza café, a face painter, a tattooist, a balloon wizard and music by DJ Zo. Food trucks from Grouchy John's Coffee, Snow Ono Shave Ice, TastyBunz, Ben's BBQ & Smokehouse and Lulu's On The Move will also be at the event.

A portion of event’s proceeds will go to the CCSD School Community Partnership Program that provides school supplies to homeless and in-need students. Donations of money and supplies are also encouraged.

Grouchy John’s Coffee will donate 100 percent of its proceeds from every regular coffee purchased this week.

School supplies students need include backpacks, pencils, pens and notebooks. All donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to Clark County School District School/Community Partnership Program. Contact Assistant Director Beverly Mason at 702-799-6560 for questions regarding donations.
