Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air will begin flying a new route between Las Vegas and Lafayette, La., later this year.
The non-stop service will fly twice a week, on Thursday and Sunday, beginning Nov. 3. Lafayette is in southwest Louisiana about 60 miles from Baton Rouge.
Flights will leave Lafayette at 9:05 p.m. Central time and arrive in Las Vegas at 10:35 p.m. Pacific time. Flights will leave Las Vegas at 3:10 p.m. and arrive in Lafayette at 8:25 p.m.
The flights will use Allegiant’s MD-80 jets, which seat 150 people.
Allegiant is offering a special $89.99 fare to introduce the route. Tickets are available for one-way travel on some flights purchased by Sept. 5 for travel between Nov. 3 and Feb. 14.
