Light rain fell in parts of the Las Vegas Valley on Saturday, and there is a chance of more showers and thunderstorms tonight and into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 9 p.m., the weather service was reporting light rain with trace accumulations in parts of the valley.
The forecast for Sunday calls for a 20 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms and mostly sunny skies. The high is expected to be 104 degrees with a Sunday night low of 82 degrees.
Monsoon moisture that has moved into the area is expected to hang around through Sunday evening, resulting in a chance of showers and thunderstorms, the weather service said. Drier air should be arriving Monday night and Tuesday, forecasters said.
Monday should be sunny and hot, with a high near 105 degrees. The rest of the workweek is expected to be mostly clear with highs of 105 to 107 degrees. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will return on Friday.
