Many letters to the editor are about entitlements and how we should fix, change or eliminate them. It should be made clear that Social Security, a government-sponsored insurance plan that I have paid into, is not an entitlement.
The greedy folks in government who are looking for more money to play with keep saying Social Security must be fixed, but you can’t fix what isn’t there.
When the “leaders” can figure out a way to repay the $4.6 trillion that they “borrowed” from the Social Security Trust Fund, it will have been magically fixed and become solvent with no need of “fixing.”
