Henderson bookkeeping business offers free accounting classes

For aspiring accountants or small-business owners looking to get a handle on their finances, Henderson-based Quick Bookkeeping Services is offering free accounting classes.

The hour-long classes are open to the public and held each Friday at 8 a.m. at Quick Bookkeeping Services' office at 10525 S. Eastern Ave.

Each class covers one of six basic accounting topics, like accounts payable, accounts receivable and generating financial statements, manager Mary Vigneault said.

"It's for anyone that would like to come learn with us," she said. "We're trying to get our name out there and prove to people we want to help them."

The classes focus on using QuickBooks, common accounting software that can be used effectively by businesses of any size, Vigneault said.

Quick Bookkeeping Services has been in Henderson for about a year, Vigneault said, and offers weekly and monthly bookkeeping for businesses, as well as payroll, conversion and training services.
