The Las Vegas division of the FBI and Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings today announced a partnership to raise awareness of the LasVegasBankRobbers.com website that was created to capture bank robbery suspects throughout the state.
The FBI's Bank Robbery Task Force is beginning to use Clear Channel's digital billboards throughout Las Vegas to promote the website by featuring color photographs and descriptions of bank robbery suspects. The website also allows citizens to send anonymous tips.
"With the use of Clear Channel Outdoor's extensive digital network promoting the LasVegasBankRobbers.com website, we now have the ability to reach thousands of local area citizens with the intent of apprehending bank robbery suspects," said FBI Special Agent in Charge Kevin Favreau of the Las Vegas Division. "This innovative partnership between Clear Channel Outdoor and the FBI will allow valley residents to assist the FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department by providing valuable information on bank robbery suspects, which will result in a decrease in these violent crimes."
Clear Channel touts itself as the world's largest outdoor advertising company with nearly 1 million displays in 45 countries.
