Letter to the editor:

A tax on imported goods might bring some jobs home

With respect to our unemployment problem, the real problem is our two-party system, which is looking forward to the next election.

Big companies that moved overseas and haven’t been penalized for hiring cheaper labor receive no opposition from our politicians in Washington, who only want to get re-elected.

Why don’t we put an extra tax on their products when they distribute them? Maybe then they would move back to the good ol’ USA and use our workers again. A tax should be put on products sent to the USA from foreign companies so that our companies could still compete.

The problem is simple to solve, but our loyal representatives would rather work for themselves than for our wonderful country and its people.
