Tickets available for concert in Henderson aimed at teens

Henderson Pavillion

Some of the top acts in teen pop music will stop by Henderson later this month for the city's annual End of Summer Block Party.

Tickets are still available for the Aug. 23 concert, which starts at 6 p.m. at the Henderson Pavillion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.

Headlining the show will be 14-year-old Australian pop sensation Cody Simpson and multi-platinum R&B singer Iyaz.

Joining them will be 19-year-old Filipina pop star Charice, Las Vegas singer Lex Rox and the locally based DJ C0-1.

The artist line up is designed to appeal to teenagers, but all ages are welcome, Henderson Cultural Arts and Tourism spokeswoman Nicole Johnson said.

Now in its third year, the End of Summer Block Party is aimed at giving kids and families a night of fun before heading back to school, she said.

Tickets for the event range from $19.85 to $35.85 for premium seating, plus an additional service fee. They can be purchased online at the HendersonLive website, by phone at 267-4849 or in person at the Henderson Pavillion Box Office from Tuesday to Saturday between 10a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
