Police seek information in weekend death of man

Metro Police are seeking information from the public about a man found dead Saturday night near the Sahara Avenue overpass, officials said.

An anonymous call to Metro dispatch led officers at 8:45 p.m. to the 2500 block of Highland Drive, where they found a white or Hispanic man dead from unknown injuries, police said.

Authorities said the caller indicated there was a male down at that location who was possibly dead.

Homicide detectives responded and began an investigation, but police do not have any suspect descriptions, officials said. Detectives are looking for possible witnesses in the area.

The Clark County coroner's office will identify the victim pending notification of his family.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro's homicide section at (702) 828-3521 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
