Mary Thompson is president of Capstone Brokerage. She was vice president of the company’s property casualty division. Before joining Capstone, Thompson began her career as an underwriter for General Accident Insurance Co and has worked in sales, agency operations, marketing, bond management and human resources.

Hannah Brook is acting director of the Rape Crisis Center. Brook, who was director of development, will oversee the center’s community outreach, volunteer and prevention programs in addition to fundraising. She will also direct the Nevada Women’s Philanthropy Signs of Hope Counseling Center. Brook has a BA from the University of Toledo.

David Reeseis a member of the board of directors of ITN Las Vegas Valley. Reese is vice president of human resources for Caesars Entertainment. Before Caesars, Reese worked for Macy’s and Goldman, Sachs & Co. He has an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Daniel Wink is senior vice president and consumer market executive for the Las Vegas market of Bank of America. Wink was vice president and consumer market manager in Reno. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maine.

Paul Couch is vice president and financial adviser for the preferred banking program of City National Bank. Couch was a financial consultant for Wells Fargo Advisors.

Barry Lutz is director of the middle market investment banking group of Wells Fargo Securities in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. Lutz was an investment banking professional with USB Investment Bank and has a BS from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Berna Rhodes-Ford, an attorney with more than 19 years in-house and firm experience, has opened her own firm, Rhodes-Ford & Associates, representing business clients.

Devin Hashimoto is executive chef of Okada at Wynn Las Vegas. Hashimoto was chef de cuisine at ALEX.

Jill Bernacki is executive director of Trauma Intervention Program of Southern Nevada.

David Schugar, Robert Russell and David Wadell have formed RMC Gaming Management, a specialized casino operations firm.

Michael Kuntzleman is laboratory manager and Jason Clardy is senior field technician for Ninyo & Moore.

Chad Cross is the principal ecologist and statistician for SWCA Environmental Consultants. Cross was a biostatistics professor at UNLV and holds BS degrees from Purdue University, an MS from UNLV, and an MS and doctorate from Old Dominion University.

Maxine Ellis is human resources manager and Jocelyn Torres and Alexis Swits are assistant account executives for MassMedia Corporate Communications.

Constance Akridge of Jones Vargas is president, Francis Flaherty of Dyer Lawrence is president-elect, Alan Lefebvre of Kolesar & Leatham is vice president and Cam Ferenbach of Lionel Sawyer & Collins is immediate past president of the State Bar of Nevada.

Lauren Freiman is a senior account executive for Specific Media.

Holly Stoberski is special counsel in the Las Vegas office of Duane Morris.

Ken Flynn is a national senior account executive with Xpert Exposition Services. Flynn was with Champion Las Vegas.

Vince Illia is truck sales manager for Peterbilt of Las Vegas.

Charles McCrea Jr., a shareholder in the litigation department of Lionel Sawyer & Collins, is a lawyer representative to the U.S. District Court for Nevada. McCrea has a JD from the California Western School of Law.

Kara Kelley, president of the Kelley Co., is a board member of the Las Vegas Mob Museum.

Robin Perkins and Justin Hepworth are associates in the commercial litigation group of Snell & Wilmer. Perkins has a JD from Texas Tech University. Hepworth has a JD from the University of Oregon.

Alyson Bettelman and Jake Joyce were promoted to senior managers for Applied Analysis. Both were project managers for the company.

Sig Rogich was named 2011 education hero and Rose McKinney-James received the lifetime achievement award from the Public Education Foundation.

Joseph Vassallo of Paragon Pools is international adviser for the editorial board of Waves.
