UNLV grad opens dance studio in Henderson

Henderson has a new dance studio where locals can perfect their hip-hop, ballet and tap dance moves.

Brooke Trimble, a graduate of UNLV with a bachelor’s degree in dance who is working toward her master’s degree in business, opened her dance studio at 771 E. Horizon Drive, Suite 124, on August 30.

She will be holding a grand-opening event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3. At the event, Trimble said there will be dance and martial arts performances, a DJ, food and drinks.

Trimble said took over the location after she noticed that the studio was being shut down because the lease had not been paid. She currently has about 50 students, who take lessons from herself, two dance teachers and a martial arts instructor.

“It has always been what I wanted to do,” she said. “It kind of fell in my lap this time. Perfect opportunity.”

The studio accepts students 2 years old and older.
