Metro Police have arrested a traveling Las Vegas massage therapist accused of taking photographs of his clients' private areas without their knowledge.

Dwayne Thurmond, owner and operator of D Mobile Massage, was arrested Sept. 3 on suspicion of nine counts of capturing the image of the private area of another, which is a gross misdemeanor. He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center, police said.

Thurmond operates the business out of 101 S. Rainbow Blvd., Suite No. 21, and travels to perform massages, police said. All of the victims found so far have been female, police said, but they varied in age, race and appearance.

After speaking with a woman accusing Thurmond of taking photos of her, police searched Thurmond’s apartment and his office, the report said. After looking through cameras and computer storage devices, police said, they found thousands of images of women’s private parts.

One of Thurmond’s clients reported him to police after she said she saw several camera flashes during a massage session, an arrest report said. Police said the woman then stopped him during the session, saying “I know you just took a picture of me.”

During the investigation, the woman called Thurmond and put him on speaker phone so the detective on the case could hear, the report said. After a heated conversation, police said Thurmond assured the woman he would delete the photos.

Police said in a statement that investigators have "evidence to suggest there are many more victims who may have unknowingly had their private areas photographed during the massage."

The D Mobile Massage website describes the services offered: "Let this highly skilled therapist relieve muscle tension, alleviate pains, promote flexibility and eliminate stress with one of their many professional massages ... The economy is hard now and many families don't have the extra spending cash to take advantage of the wonderful and beneficial advantages of massage. So I decided to provide my services to make it affordable for all to experience."

Officials are asking Thurmond’s clients to contact Metro’s sexual assault unit, (702) 828-5713.
