4-year-old Henderson boy nearly drowns

A 4-year-old boy nearly drowned Friday night in a swimming pool at a home in Henderson, officials said.

City spokesman Bud Cranor said authorities responded to a call from a family who found the child floating in the pool shortly after 7 p.m. in the 2400 block of Legacy Island Circle.

Rescuers revived the child and transported him to St. Rose Dominican Hospitals-Siena Campus, officials said. No condition report was immediately available.

Henderson Police Department investigators were at the scene Friday night. The incident is being treated as an accident, Cranor said.
