Is Reid really ‘reeling’ from NRA snub?

Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 | 2:01 a.m.

You have to love this headline in The Washington Times: “NRA mans up to Harry Reid.” And the subhead: “Gun rights group smacks majority leader over Supreme Court votes.” The conservative newspaper almost had glee dripping from every word as it praised the gun group for depriving Reid of its endorsement, supposedly over his support for liberal Supreme Court nominees. And this: “The powerful Nevada Democrat is reeling from the shock of not getting the gun group’s important endorsement in his uphill re-election bid.” Reeling from the shock? Really? Does the Times have an insider in the Reid campaign who related said reeling? Who could it be?

  1. What do you know..a "reel" mystery to be solved. Another conspiracy theory?

Who caused the all-powerful Harry Reid to reel from the shock??

    The "insider" did it!
No, I think the butler did it.

  2. It was Republicans like Spector, McCain, Pataki, Reagan (for Brady Bill) who helped get gun control passed.

NRA is not supporting Angle, which is the best Reid could hope for.

In California the NRA supported Democrat Dean Flores over a more pro-gun Republican challenger because they wanted to have some influence in the State Legislature. This is not unusual for them.

  3. "Nevada deserves better than a Reid."

And yet, the Republicans nominated Sharron Angle. I imagine you're incredibly disappointed in them.
