Clark County is now accepting applications for citizens to join its Town Advisory Boards and Citizen Advisory Councils. The deadline is Nov. 19.
Members of the 13 TAB’s and six CAC’s, which represent unincorporated areas and meet twice a month, consider zoning items at public meetings and offer recommendations for the Board of County Commissioners before those items come to the BCC for final approval.
The terms are two years and board members are not paid for their services. Boards forward the concerns of residents to the county commissioners and aid in informing the public about the commission’s activities.
TAB’s and CAC’s also serve an important role in developing Community Strategic Plans for their areas.
