Hassan Henderson completed 7 of 11 passes for 211 yards and four touchdowns Thursday to lead the host Las Vegas High football team to a 46-6 victory against Eldorado.
Eldorado needed a victory to clinch a playoff spot in the regular season finale, but Las Vegas proved to be too powerful offensively. Las Vegas (9-1, 7-0 Northeast) wrapped up league play undefeated.
Farrell Victor added seven carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Cameron Rogers also scored twice.
Las Vegas, the No. 1 seed from the Northeast Division, opens the Sunrise Regional playoffs by hosting Del Sol next week in the quarterfinals. The Wildcats beat Del Sol three straight years in the regional finals but lost to the Dragons in the regular season last year.
All four games have been close, and Las Vegas coach Chris Faircloth expects another tight battle.
“They have our full attention,” Faircloth said of Del Sol. “They are always good at this time of the year. Our kids won’t have a hard time getting ready for them. If we do, we’ll get hammered.”
