The Henderson Redevelopment Agency is hosting a neighborhood cleanup this weekend for its downtown district.
The cleanup will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday. Participants should meet at the former Henderson Senior Center, at the corner of Texas Avenue and Army Street.
Officials say the cleanup will focus on sidewalks and front yards. The effort will also focus on Texas Avenue, Wyoming Avenue and Atlantic Avenue.
The city will provide cleanup tools from the Henderson Cleanup Trailer. Participants will also be able to dispose of yard trimmings, trash and recyclables during the event.
Downtown Henderson, roughly bounded by Lake Mead Boulevard, Burkholder Boulevard and Greenway Road, has been a focus of business and community redevelopment since its master plan passed in 2000.
