The City of Henderson, a city with dozens of miles of bike lanes and paths, will be hosting a National Trails Day Celebration on Saturday.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Promenade at the Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. The event will be free and open to the public.
During the event, patrons can take bus tours of some of Henderson’s trails on both the east and west sides of town. The event is geared to help hikers meet each other, and learn about what the city has to offer.
The event will also feature a photo contest, featuring the trails, and a raffle for a family camping package from REI.
According to the city’s website, Henderson plans to add more than 50 more miles of trails to its system within the next couple of years.
