Metro Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a woman's boyfriend in connection with the death of her 1-year-old son.

An arrest warrant was issued for Clyde Biggs, 30, charging him with one count of murder by child abuse. Police said Biggs is the boyfriend of Lolita Marshall, 31, who was arrested Thursday in the case and charged with one count of child neglect with substantial bodily harm.

Marshall is being held in the Clark County Detention Center on bail of $250,000.

Shortly before 1 p.m Monday, police responded to a home in the 4000 block of Broadriver Drive in northwest Las Vegas to investigate a call by Marshall that her 1-year-old son was unconscious and unresponsive, police said. The boy was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office determined the boy died as a result of blunt force trauma.

Metro’s Crimes Against Youth and Family Bureau determined Marshall was away from the home and left the boy and his five siblings in the care of Biggs, police said. Officials said Marshall was aware of previous incidents of child abuse involving her children and Biggs, which led to her being arrested.

The boy’s five siblings were removed from the home and are in the custody of Clark County Child Protective Services.

Authorities said Biggs might be driving an unregistered white 1991 560 SCC Mercedes two-door coupe. Police released a current jail booking photo of Marshall and a photo of Biggs from a previous arrest.

Anyone with any information about Biggs is being asked to call Metro's non-emergency dispatch number at 311, or those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
