Power outage

A power outage at a Clark County middle school caused by a vehicle crashing into electrical equipment Tuesday won't delay election returns, officials said.

Secretary of State Ross Miller tweeted this evening that voters in line at Schofield Middle School, 8625 Spencer St., would be allowed to vote and "statewide results will be delayed." But the issue was resolved quickly and won't delay the results, he said.

NV Energy spokesman Kevin Rademacher said about 1,300 electricity customers were without power after a vehicle crashed into electrical equipment.

Rademacher said the power outage is affecting customers in the area of Eastern Avenue and Pebble Road. Maintenance crews are on site and working to restore power.
