When the New Yorker arrived in Vegas in 2000, he had no club experience whatsoever. Starting as a VIP host at the House of Blues, McCormack also worked at Foundation Room, Light at the Bellagio and then Body English at the Hard Rock. Now McCormack has part ownership in Wasted Space, opened Rare 120, Vanity and Johnny Smalls, and says happy employees make for happy customers. “I try to make sure everybody likes their job and make a fun environment for them to work in,” says McCormack. “I wasn’t a nightclub guy,” he says. “I look at it as more of a business: Just like anything else, instead of selling clothes or cheeseburgers we’re selling a party and booze.”

Wasted Space Hard Rock's new "anti-club" Wasted Space, owned by star motocross star Carey Hart, is a celebration of decadent rock 'n' roll culture. Carey added welcome laid-back touches like the casual dress code and coed bathrooms. Live rock bands visit every weekend and it's also a great place to head for afterhours partying after catching a concert at the Joint or Hard Rock poolside. The venue has already become the place of choice for the cool crowd the Hard Rock always attracts. 4455 Paradise Road Las Vegas,

Vanity Nightclub The centerpiece of the HRH Tower's new nightclub, a multi-million dollar chandelier lit from within by LED lights that can change color and even broadcast images, overlooks the entire dance floor. The 14,000 square-foot venue features two marble bars, a sunken dance floor, 50 intimate VIP booths, an outdoor terrace including five cabanas with direct access to a sky bar and a ladies’ lounge that will truly impress. The ladies lounge includes six individual vanity stations and a full length three-way mirror with staff on-hand to fix broken nails, style hair and spruce up makeup.
