The silent half of the vaunted Penn & Teller team at the Rio is a wily and innovative magician and comic. While getting ready for the eighth season of their Showtime series (Thursday, June 10 at 10 p.m.), Teller shared his thoughts about the city with "Las Vegas Magazine."

All-American Bar & Grille (Rio): Manly food. Aged steaks, perfect burgers and (my favorite) Jamaican-style pork chops. Unpretentious, great service.

Mac King (Harrah's): The show to see when you want to laugh after lunch (and, frankly, one of the best magic shows in the USA). Mystifying, funny and tuxedo-and-tiger free.

The Liberace Museum: The treasures of an American icon who reinvented show business. Trust me. Go. You don't have to know Liberace's work to become a fan.

Jubilee! (Bally's): Miss this jaw-dropping, classic extravaganza and you haven't been to Vegas. They sink the Titanic onstage (I'm not making this up).

Hoover Dam: The pyramids of Egypt are majestic, but they're just tombs. This gigantic, breathtaking American art deco sculpture makes electricity.

Afternoon tea at the Four Seasons: Make a reservation a day in advance and do the whole tea-and-little-sandwiches thing to perfection. I once hired these guys to cater a party in the desert, and they even provided gold chairs and music.

Atomic Testing Museum: How many other cities in the world offer you the chance to relive the good old days when you could watch nuclear weapons in action from your hotel-room window?
